The Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw (ChAT) is a public, ecumenical higher education institution founded in 1954 by decision of the Council of Ministers. The university is a continuation of the Faculty of Evangelical Theology and the Orthodox Theology Studies, which were established after World War I at the University of Warsaw. The structure of the university consists of two faculties: the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Social Sciences, both of which have the right to award academic degrees. In addition, the university has a Doctoral School, educating in the disciplines of pedagogy and theological sciences. Currently, the university has 387 students, of whom 57.1% are women and 12.4% are foreigners. Last academic year, 38 students graduated. In the academic year 2024/2025, 242 male and female students began their studies, including 24 foreigners. The employment structure at the university includes 47 full-time academic teachers, of whom 31.9% are women.
