The State Academy of Applied Sciences in Koszalin (formerly the State Higher Vocational School in Koszalin) is a free, public vocational university offering full-time and part-time education. The university was founded in 2009. It educates in practical fields, cooperating with numerous external partners. As part of the education of nurses, the Medical Simulation Center operates, which provides modern learning conditions. In 2024, an innovative workshop of the Multi-Environment Automated Crisis Management System JASMINE was established, equipped with advanced software, computer stations and information graphics. This workshop is used to educate staff for professional management of crisis situations at all levels of state structures. Currently, 623 students study at the university, of which 73.8% are women and 2.2% are foreigners. Last year, 195 people graduated from the studies. In the academic year 2024/2025, 334 students started their studies, including 8 foreigners.
