The West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin is a public academic university that was established on January 1, 2009 as a result of the merger of the Agricultural University of Szczecin and the Szczecin University of Technology. The main goal of the university is to educate students and conduct scientific research in the fields of technology, agriculture, economics, biology, chemistry and mathematics. Currently, the university has over 5.9 thousand students, of whom 37.2% are women and 6.1% are foreigners. Last year, the university educated over 1.1 thousand graduates. In the academic year 2024/2025, over 2 thousand male and female students started their studies, including 124 people from outside Poland. The employment structure at the university includes 697 full-time academic teachers, of whom 45.8% are women.
