The Zamojska Academy is a public university operating in Zamość since September 1, 2021, established under the Act of July 8, 2021. Its foundation was previously the Szymon Szymonowic State University in Zamość, operating in the city in the years 2005–2021. Currently, the Zamojska Academy offers studies at the bachelor's, engineering, master's (second cycle) and postgraduate levels. The university has adopted a faculty structure, within which three faculties operate: the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Technology and Information Technology. The university currently has 1,145 students, of whom 66.1% are women and 3.5% are foreigners. Last academic year, 292 graduates left the university. In the academic year 2024/2025, 569 male and female students began their studies, including 16 foreigners. The employment structure includes 96 academic teachers, of whom 53.1% are women.
