The State Academy of Applied Sciences named after prof. Stanisław Tarnowski in Tarnobrzeg was founded on 1 June 2001. Students have the opportunity to develop their scientific, cultural and sports interests. An important manifestation of student activity is the activity of the Scientific Circles, the Student Government and the Academic Sports Association. Currently, the university educates 762 students, of whom 71.4% are women and 0.3% are foreigners. Last academic year, 270 students graduated from the university. In the academic year 2024/2025, 330 new students began their studies. The university employs 60 full-time academic teachers, of whom 73.3% are women.
