The Karkonosze Academy of Applied Sciences in Jelenia Góra, a public higher vocational school, was founded in 1998 as the Karkonoskie College. The university offers free master's degrees in psychology, physical education and sports, physiotherapy, and nursing. It also offers engineering studies in automation and bachelor's studies in dietetics, philology, pedagogy, nursing, physical education, tourism business, marketing and market communication, as well as Big Data in economic and social analytics. Currently, the university has 859 students, of whom 63.6% are women and 4.7% are foreigners. Last academic year, 136 graduates graduated from it. In the academic year 2024/2025, 390 male and female students began their studies, including 16 foreigners. The university employs 56 full-time academic teachers, 73.2% of whom are women.
