The State Academy of Applied Sciences named after Father Bronisław Markiewicz in Jarosław was founded in 1998 by Antoni Jarosz. The university offers full-time and part-time studies at the bachelor's, engineer's, master's, uniform master's level, and conducts postgraduate studies. In terms of teaching, the PANS in Jarosław cooperates with such universities as the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, the Kraków University of Technology, the University of Economics in Kraków, and the University of Rzeszów. Currently, the university has approximately 2,400 students, of whom 65.5% are women and 6.9% are foreigners. Last academic year, 620 graduates graduated from the university. In the academic year 2024/2025, 1,195 male and female students began their studies, including 89 foreigners. The university employs 148 full-time academic teachers, 60.8% of whom are women.
