The Kazimierz Pulaski University of Radom was founded in 1950 in Radom under the name NOT Engineering School. From 1965 to 1974, it functioned successively as Kielce-Radomska Wieczorowa Szkoła Inżynierska and Kielce-Radomska Wyższa Szkoła Inżynierska. In 1974, Kielce-Radom University of Engineering was established on the basis of Kielce-Radom University of Engineering. In 1978, the Higher School of Engineering in Radom was separated from the structures of Kielce-Radom Polytechnic, and a year later it was named after Kazimierz Pulaski. At present, the university educates more than 30 faculties in various scientific fields, including technical, economic, pedagogical, artistic, humanities and health sciences. The university's structure includes eight faculties: three technical faculties - the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Transportation, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and the Faculty of Applied Chemistry - and five non-technical faculties: Faculty of Philology and Pedagogy, Faculty of Law and Administration, Faculty of Economics and Finance, Faculty of Arts, and Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. The university currently has more than 5,000 students, 53% of whom are women, and 9.6% are foreigners. Last academic year, the university produced 890 graduates. In the 2024/2025 academic year, 2,566 male and female students began their studies, including 319 foreigners. The staff structure includes 295 academic teachers, 44.1% of whom are women.
