Lublin University of Technology is a state technical university founded in 1953 in Lublin. It is one of five public universities in the city, distinguished by its technical profile. The university offers education programs at the bachelor's, engineering, master's and doctoral levels. Since its establishment, Lublin University of Technology has been educating qualified engineering personnel and conducting scientific research, mainly for the needs of the Lublin region. Currently, the main areas of scientific research include the development of structures and technologies, environmental protection, and material and energy conservation. The university also performs expert opinions and consulting activities. Lublin University of Technology allows students to study twenty-four majors within six faculties, in first- and second-level studies. The university currently has nearly 6,600 students, 26.8% of whom are women, and 11.8% are foreigners. Last year, the university educated nearly 2 thousand graduates. In the 2024/2025 academic year, about 2.2 thousand male and female students began their studies, including 208 foreigners. There are 613 full-time academic staff, 32.6% of whom are women.
