The university was founded in 1997 on the initiative of the Kielce Society of Economic Education. Its founders were Dr. Tadeusz Dziekan, Dr. Zdobysław Kuleszyński, Andrzej Mroczek MA and Zbigniew Szczepańczyk MA. Currently, the university is divided into four faculties: Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of Law and Security, Faculty of Medical Sciences and Faculty of Health Sciences. The educational offer includes numerous fields of study, including postgraduate studies, in particular postgraduate MBA management studies. The university educates 2,866 students, of whom 79.8% are women and 1% are foreigners. Last year, 778 graduates graduated from the university. In the academic year 2024/2025, 1,234 male and female students began their studies, including 11 foreigners. The employment structure at the university includes 31 full-time academic teachers, of whom 41.9% are women.
