Civitas University in Warsaw is a private university that began operating in 1997. It was established at the initiative of scientists from the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The university offers study programs conducted in Polish, English and bilingual Polish-English studies, covering over 100 specializations in six thematic areas: Journalism and New Media, Management and Marketing, Psychology and Coaching, Information Security and Analysis, International Relations and Diplomacy, and Sociology, Culture and Art.

Bachelor's and master's studies at Civitas University are carried out within four fields of study: Management, Sociology, International Relations, and Journalism and New Media (first-cycle studies), covering over 100 specializations. The university also offers 25 postgraduate study programs, including MBA programs such as Public Security, Energy and Climate Policy Management, and Management of Future Cooperatives. The educational offer also includes the possibility of obtaining a doctoral degree, participation in courses and workshops, and classes as part of the University of the Third Age.

Currently, the university has over 2.8 thousand students, of whom 59.1% are women and 36.3% are foreigners. Last academic year, the university said goodbye to 732 graduates. For the academic year 2024/2025, 937 male and female students, including 315 foreigners, began their studies. Civitas University employs 79 full-time academic teachers, of whom over 48.1% are women.

Among the university's graduates is Aleksandra Gajewska - a local government activist and politician.
