The Samuel Bogumił Linde Higher School of Foreign Languages, based in Poznań, is a private university established on the initiative of the Poznań philological community. The university was founded by Verbum sp. z o.o. It is one of the largest private philological universities in Poland, operating for over 20 years and educating students and listeners. The university offers first and second cycle studies, postgraduate studies, as well as courses and training. Students from abroad, including Great Britain, Spain, Italy, France, Turkey and Ukraine, also study at the WSJO. Currently, there are over 1.2 thousand students studying at the university, of which 78.9% are women and 8.3% are foreigners. Last year, 326 students graduated from the university, while in the academic year 2024/2025, 474 students started their studies, including 25 foreigners. The university employs 18 full-time academic teachers, of whom 55.6% are women.
