The Medical College in Sosnowiec – a non-public university founded by Danuta Obcowska – specializes in nursing and emergency medical services. In addition to bachelor's studies, the school offers postgraduate studies and specialist and additional courses. The main goal of the school is to prepare qualified graduates who will be able to find employment in the medical and pedagogical sectors. Currently, the school has almost 2,000 students, of whom 86.4% are women and 4.4% are foreigners. Last year, 589 graduates graduated from it. In the academic year 2024/2025, 568 students began their studies, including 23 people from outside Poland. The school employs 17 full-time academic teachers, of whom 64.7% are women.
