The university began operating in 2001. It continues and promotes the educational goals included in the programs of the interwar Free Polish University and in the post-war activities of the Society of Universal Knowledge. Candidates for studies can choose from 5 fields of study within full-time and part-time studies: administration, internal security, finance and accounting, preschool and early school pedagogy, and management. The university offers bachelor's, master's, and postgraduate studies. Currently, the university educates 703 students, of whom 65.7% are women and 16.9% are foreigners. Last year, 253 students graduated from the university. In the academic year 2024/2025, 234 male and female students began their studies, including 44 foreigners. The university employs 16 full-time academic teachers, of whom 62.5% are women.
