A non-public vocational university, founded in December 2004, specializing in human security issues. The Higher School of Security is the first university in Poland and one of the few in Europe whose didactic area focuses on issues related to human security. The university provides professional knowledge, practical skills and social competences that enable graduates to find and perform satisfying work. In addition to its main headquarters in Poznań, the Higher School of Security has faculties in Gliwice, Gdańsk, Bartoszyce, Giżycko, Jaworzno, Skoczów, Jastrzębie-Zdrój and Koszalin. Currently, the university educates over 2.5 thousand students, of whom 67.7% are women and 1.5% are foreigners. Last year, 833 graduates graduated from the university. In the academic year 2024/2025, 1,003 male and female students began their studies, including 12 foreigners. The university employs 141 full-time academic teachers, of whom 75.9% are women.
