The Vistula School of Tourism and Hotel Management (SGTiH Vistula) was established through the merger of three tourism colleges: The Mieczysław Orłowicz University of Tourism and Recreation in Warsaw, the University of Hotel Management, Catering and Tourism in Warsaw, and the University of Tourism and Hotel Management in Lodz. The Institute of Tourism, which is the only research and development unit in Poland conducting interdisciplinary, comprehensive research in the field of tourism, has also joined the group. The university offers majors such as tourism and recreation, tourism and hospitality, and dietetics. It cooperates with more than 40 foreign universities, carrying out exchanges of lecturers and students, joint research programs and projects, exchange of experience and scientific publications. The university currently has 804 students, 56.6% of whom are women, and 71% are foreigners. Last academic year, 199 graduates left the university. For the 2024/2025 academic year, 204 male and female students have begun their studies, 145 of whom are foreigners. The university's employment structure includes 14 full-time academic staff, 71.4% of whom are women.
