The Academy of Social and Media Culture in Toruń - Academy of Applied Sciences is a non-public university established in 2001. The founder of the university is Father Tadeusz Rydzyk CSsR, Director of Radio Maryja and founder of Telewizja Trwam. The Academy offers studies in the following fields: journalism and social communication, political science, media informatics, nursing and law. Currently, the university educates 378 students, of whom 60.3% are women and 1.9% are foreigners. Last year, 72 students left the university. For the academic year 2024/2025, 165 male and female students began their studies. The academy employs 46 full-time academic teachers, of whom 41.3% are women.
