The Humanitas Higher School in Sosnowiec was founded in 1997 under the name of the Higher School of Management and Marketing. Its founder is Aleksander Dudek, who serves as the Chancellor of the University. The university offers 11 fields of study, numerous specializations, postgraduate studies, a doctoral seminar and the possibility of awarding doctoral and postdoctoral degrees in two disciplines: legal sciences and management and quality sciences. Additionally, Humanitas offers two MBA study programs and an LLM study program. The university has two foreign branches - in the Czech Republic, in Vsetin, where first and second cycle studies in the field of psychology are carried out, and in Prague, where uniform master's studies in the field of psychology are conducted. Currently, the university educates over 3.9 thousand students, of whom 72.6% are women and 18.2% are foreigners. Last academic year, 773 students left the university. In the academic year 2024/2025, 1,189 male and female students began their studies, including 254 foreigners. The Humanitas University employs 99 full-time academic teachers, of whom 62.6% are women.
